STEM CPD

Strengthening Practical work in  Chemistry and Physics

Innovative practical work can make student's learning more effective by giving them a good understanding of a range of scientific techniques and methods.

These two separate courses explore strategies for teaching topics across the physics and the chemistry curriculums. Experiment with hands-on creative approaches to new and familiar practical techniques using a range of resources, publications and ICT applications. Develop an understanding of the nature, purpose and importance of practical work and how it can be made more relevant and effective. Learn new and established practical strategies and techniques and plan how to incorporate these ideas into schemes of learning.
